Scott Robertson, M.D., Appointed New Chief of Staff
Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (AGCH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Robertson, M.D., as Chief of Staff of Arroyo Grande Community Hospital. The appointment of Dr. Robertson was announced at the hospital’s January 2009 Community Board meeting.
“I am excited to be involved with Arroyo Grande Community Hospital as it continues to grow and serve as a vital resource for the south San Luis Obispo County community,” said Dr. Robertson. In his new role as Chief of Staff, Dr. Robertson will direct the hospital’s credentialing and peer review processes and oversee the hospital’s Medical Staff Executive Committee, which manages the hospital’s quality of care and serves as a liaison between the hospital’s Community Board and the medical staff.
Dr. Robertson has an impressive medical and executive leadership background. A Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Robertson currently serves as the President of Ventana Health, a private primary care practice in Pismo Beach. Originally from Kentucky, Dr. Robertson graduated Summa Cum Laude earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgetown College and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Louisville and served his residency at Scottsdale Healthcare in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Robertson moved to the Central California Coast area to begin his local medical practice, Ventana Health, in 2003. He also hosts a health news segment, “Morning Rounds with Dr. Scott Robertson” on KCOY-TV News 12 Sunrise each Wednesday morning.
