Our Nurse Navigator is an expert dedicated to you. When the diagnosis is cancer, the immediate response is an overwhelming flood of emotions. At the heart of this response is confusion, but there is a person dedicated to you who will provide answers to your questions – and, ultimately, turn those initial feelings of helplessness into hope.
That person is your Nurse Navigator
Every patient of Arroyo Grande Community Hospital's Coastal Cancer Care Center is partnered with her – a highly-skilled nurse specially-trained to help you navigate screening needs and the different treatment options you will encounter. Through her you will find not only information, but also an important source of support.

Arroyo Grande Community Hospital is proud to announce that our Coastal Cancer Care and Diagnostic Center has been awarded accreditation as a Community Hospital Cancer Program, earning 7 out of 7 commendations by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). This honor and distinction places us among only 1,480 cancer programs nationwide to earn this sought-after accreditation and the only one in San Luis Obispo County to do so. In addition, we have been awarded the 2009 CoC Outstanding Achievement Award – one of only 4 recipients in California and 80 in the U.S.
