Arroyo Grande Community Hospital’s Coastal Diagnostic Center houses the latest in technology with a caring and sensitive staff.
The Center offers the following exams:

Digital Mammography: Mammography is low-dose x-ray procedure and the most reliable method available for the detection of breast cancer. Our Coastal Diagnostic Center has the latest GE digital mammography equipment on the Central Coast that creates clearer, faster images with less radiation than a tradition film mammogram. These screenings are coupled with the sophisticated screening tool called Second Look, a computer-aided detection (CAD) technology that provides a computerized second review of mammograms and can highlight potential areas of concern.

Stereotactic Biopsy System: Our Center also features this stereotactic equipment that provides non-surgical detection of breast disease. It is highly accurate and a significant advance in the ease and accuracy of diagnosing breast disorders.

Ultrasound: The Coastal Diagnostic Center has the latest state-of-the-art Philips ultrasound equipment that uses sound waves to produce an instantaneous image of the body that appears on a video screen.
