Sleep Diagnostics Laboratory
Arroyo Grande Community Hospital has provided sleep studies for over 15 years. The Sleep Diagnostics Lab specializes in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. At the sleep lab, specially trained technicians will observe you as you sleep, and record many kinds of data about your sleep and breathing patterns. As a result of testing, you'll find out whether or not you have sleep apnea. Testing can also tell what kind of sleep apnea you have, and what kind of treatment will help you most.

Sleep Apnea
Loud snoring is not a joking matter. For many it may signal a breathing problem during sleep. Some snorers actually stop breathing for brief periods throughout the night.
Take this test, then take it to your medical provider:
- Do you snore?
- Are you sleepy during the day?
- Are you overweight?
- Do you wake up with morning headaches?
- Are you irritable, fatigued or do you have difficulty concentrating?
- Do you find it hard to stay awake while driving, watching television, reading or attending a meeting?
- Do you ever wake up choking, gasping for air, or have a skipping, racing heart beat during the night?
- Has anyone watched you sleeping and told you that you hold your breath, snore and move often while you sleep?
